The opportunity
EY is on the lookout for a technically adept and visionary technologist to take on the role of Senior AI Engineer, with a focus on delivering cutting-edge AI solutions. As our Senior AI Engineer, you will lead the experimentation, prototyping and deployment of advanced AI and Generative AI solutions. Working with leading foundation models and orchestration frameworks, you will translate emerging capabilities into practical, commercially viable solutions. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of designing and executing innovative GenAI solutions and will provide technical guidance to a team of skilled and junior data scientists and engineers. This role demands a strong combination of technical prowess, sector-specific insight and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior tax executives, work closely with our Tax business, and partner with EY's technology teams and platforms to deliver practical, commercially viable solutions. You'll design and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI applications that transform business processes and deliver measurable impact for EY clients.

You'll be part of our Tax Technology team within the Office of the CTO, driving innovation and applying modern frameworks to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.
This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne, Meanjin – Brisbane, Warrang – Sydney.
