Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate deep technical knowledge and specialist expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems, using advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and natural language processing across large datasets.
• Generate and communicate insights aligned to business objectives and relevant to diverse stakeholders and clients, taking into consideration business roles and technical understanding of audiences.
• Lead and manage data scientists to achieve their best by creating a high-performance culture, providing guidance and coaching on appropriate modelling and statistical techniques.
• Provide strategic direction to the team and lead multiple projects to create scalable and reliable end-to-end solutions for our customers, prioritising with business stakeholders and balancing long-term objectives versus immediate delivery.
• Conduct extensive big data analysis, optimising data processing workflows, and deriving deeper insights from big data, while integrating big data solutions with cloud platforms.
• Design and implement more complex machine learning solutions, handling larger datasets, tuning models for better performance, and working on sophisticated problems.
• Apply practical experience in software engineering, participating in and contributing to software development projects, and ensuring best practices in coding standards, documentation, and code reviews.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Expertise in the design and construction of machine learning models, including feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, model evaluation, and deployment of predictive models into production environments.
• Familiarity with various aspects of Generative AI, including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), guardrail design, orchestration design, and tools such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Worked on projects leveraging traditional AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI to pave the path for how banking and broader industry functions in the future.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub.
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
• Grounded understanding in AWS or Azure Cloud architecture and integration, demonstrating experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions.
• Tertiary Qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or Computer Science.
