What You’ll Do
We are seeking an experienced Consulting Manager / Director – Data & AI to join our Perth-based consulting team, leading high-impact engagements across the Resources & Energy sector.
This is a senior, client-facing leadership role suited to a consulting professional who understands asset-intensive environments and can translate data, analytics, and AI into real operational and commercial value.
You will work closely with mining, oil & gas, energy, and utilities clients across Western Australia and nationally, delivering scalable data platforms and AI-enabled solutions that improve safety, productivity, reliability, and decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a Perth-based team of Data, Analytics, and AI consultants aligned to Resources & Energy clients.
- Build and maintain trusted executive-level relationships with mining, oil & gas, energy, and utilities organisations.
- Lead the design and delivery of Data & AI solutions supporting asset operations, production optimisation, maintenance, supply chain, ESG, safety, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to deliver data platforms, BI, advanced analytics, ML, and AI use cases in complex operational environments.
- Identify and develop new consulting opportunities across WA-based and national Resources & Energy clients.
- Lead proposals, client presentations, and commercial negotiations for Data & AI initiatives.
- Shape the strategy and growth of the Resources & Energy Data & AI consulting offering in WA.
- Provide oversight of delivery quality, risk, and financial performance, ensuring engagements meet margin and outcome expectations.
- Partner with other consulting and engineering service lines to deliver end-to-end transformation outcomes.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in consulting or industry, including 3+ years in a consulting leadership role focused on Data, Analytics, or AI.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Data & AI initiatives within Resources & Energy environments (mining, oil & gas, utilities, renewables).
- Strong understanding of industrial and asset-centric data architectures, analytics platforms, and AI/ML concepts.
- Experience working in complex, safety-critical and operational environments.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in business development, account growth, and client leadership.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
- A continuous learning mindset with an interest in industrial analytics and applied AI.
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA, Master’s in Data, Analytics, or AI).
- Relevant certifications (PMP, SAFe, cloud or data platforms).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) in operational settings.
- Exposure to OT/IT data integration, IoT, or industrial AI use cases.
- Lead and grow a Perth-based Data & AI consulting capability focused on Energy & Resources.
- Work with Tier 1 mining and energy operators on complex, high-value transformation programs.
