What You’ll Be Doing

The search landscape is undergoing its most significant transformation in decades. While Compare the Market and iSelect have long-standing strengths in conventional SEO, content production and digital PR, the future of discovery increasingly sits within AI-powered search, answer engines and generative interfaces.

We’re looking for a seasoned, future-focused leader to help us push the boundaries of organic discovery. You’ll play a key role in shaping the strategy and capabilities that make our brands stand tall across both traditional search and the rapidly evolving world of AI-driven platforms.

You’ll unify and uplift a talented multi-disciplinary team to deliver world-class organic performance — not only in conventional rankings, but in the fast-emerging domain of AI-generated search results where new behaviours, algorithms and visibility factors are still taking shape.

We need a leader who’s as strong with people as they are with the tech — someone collaborative, future-minded, commercially savvy and steady in ambiguity. You’re curious and experimental with new technology, and you’ll have:

• 10+ years shaping SEO or organic growth at scale

• A track record leading multi-disciplinary search teams

• Deep technical experience (SEO, structured data, entity optimisation, content strategy)

• Experience boosting visibility in AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and other AI-first platforms

• Hands-on wins in AI-driven search environments

Bonus points for

• Experience working in a digital-based business reliant on online lead generation

• Time spent inside large content ecosystems or multi-brand environments

• Knowledge of multi-modal and conversational content optimisation
