Our Banking and Financial Services AI Governance team is responsible for ensuring artificial intelligence is used safely, ethically and in line with regulatory expectations. As part of the Group Data and AI Office, we design and embed governance practices that enable innovation while maintaining strong risk management and trusted customer outcomes.

What role will you play?

As an AI Governance Manager, you will translate governance strategy into practical, day-to-day operations, supporting the responsible use of AI across the organisation. You will run governance processes, coordinate forums, and partner with engineering, risk and business teams to ensure AI solutions are assessed, monitored and deployed appropriately. This is a hands-on role where you will help embed governance into real delivery environments while continuously improving frameworks and practices.

What you offer

  • Proven experience in data, technology or AI governance, risk, compliance, analytics or engineering, with the ability to operate at the intersection of risk and technology in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of how AI systems work, including model behaviour, data usage and potential risks, with the confidence to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, practical guidance that supports delivery while managing risk effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience facilitating discussions, preparing high-quality documentation and influencing senior audiences
  • A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work through ambiguity, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships across teams
