The Opportunity

The Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Monash University is looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to our growing AI in Health agenda. 

The Lecturer would support the design, development and evaluation of digital health tools that improve care quality, equity and efficiency. The role will advance emerging research in areas such as machine learning, clinical decision-support, medical imaging, and data-driven health services innovation. The position is expected to develop an independent research profile, contribute to high-quality teaching, and collaborate closely with clinicians, industry and community partners to translate digital solutions into real-world impact.

As Senior Lecturer, you would play a leadership role in advancing Monash’s strategic priorities in AI-enabled digital health by driving innovative, translational research and shaping high-quality teaching programs across the Faculty. This position will lead interdisciplinary collaborations across healthcare, industry, and global partners to deliver impactful AI solutions—such as advanced analytics, intelligent clinical systems, and data-centric healthcare innovations—that align with the University’s mission of improving health outcomes through technology.
