The opportunity & how you will make an impact.

As our AI Solution Engineer, you will lead the advancement of our Generative AI platform, uKnow, built on Azure Cloud. This role will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing innovative AI products that enhance employee & client experience and drive efficiency within the organisation leveraging expertise in Azure AI services, machine learning and data engineering.

Working within an established Data Engineering team of 5, you will participate in a large variety of exciting and challenging projects.

You'll make an impact by:

• Designing, building and deploying Generative AI solutions on Azure, including AI-powered copilots/agents built with Microsoft Copilot Studio, that enhance employee and client experience
• Translating business needs into scalable AI and data solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams across Urbis & Cistri
• Building and optimising data pipelines and models, ensuring high performance, reliability and efficiency in production environments
• Driving continuous improvement by automating processes, enhancing data infrastructure and improving system scalability
• Championing ethical AI practices, ensuring compliance with governance standards and contributing to responsible AI adoption
• Contributing to the evolution of Urbis' AI platform (uKnow) and broader digital capacity
• Coaching and mentoring individuals within the team

About you.

In addition to yours, we're keen to connect with you if you bring the following experiences and attributes:

• A tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field coupled with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Data Engineering role
• Proven experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions using Azure AI services and Large Language Models.
• Experience using AI-powered copilots/agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio is highly regarded
• A proven high proficiency manipulating data in the MS Azure cloud platform and a successful history of linking, manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets in prior roles.
• Strong data engineering capability, including working with large, complex datasets using Python, SQL and modern data platforms
• A proactive mindset, with a strong interest in emerging AI technologies and industry best practices
