We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation, reporting to the Executive Manager – Transformation.

A bit about your role

The Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation, within the Regional Development and Engagement (RDE) unit, drives digital transformation across regional Australia by leveraging AI, machine learning, generative AI, and process automation.

This role designs, builds, and manages automation solutions that simplify regional processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

Operating as a trusted internal service provider, the position ensures initiatives deliver measurable business value, influence decisions through insights, and embed continuous improvement. It plays a key role in shaping RDE’s future automation and AI practices while supporting innovation and operational excellence.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering Automation and AI solutions, including leading technical teams.

They must possess hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Power Platform or Alteryx, strong Python skills for custom development, and practical experience in machine learning and advanced analytics, including model integration and monitoring.

A solid understanding of automation patterns, integration frameworks, and strong SQL skills for working with databases, APIs, and data pipelines is essential.

Finally, executive-level presentation skills and knowledge of change management are required.
