We work at the frontier of AI, tackling big, real-world problems for global enterprises across multiple industries, armed with state-of-the-art technology and a culture that prizes courage, rigor, and relentless curiosity. Our BRAVER values aren't just words on a wall — they describe the kind of people we are and the standard we hold ourselves to every day. Our leadership team is entrepreneurial, experienced, and accessible, with an open-door policy that means you'll never be just a number here. We invest seriously in your growth because we know our success depends on yours. If you're ready to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, push into uncharted territory, and do work that genuinely matters, Future Secure AI is the place for you.

Future Secure AI is a rapidly scaling frontier‑AI company co‑developed with one of the world's largest financial institutions. We operate with startup speed and enterprise backing, building agentic AI Co‑workers—autonomous, reasoning‑capable systems designed to partner with humans and 10x organisational performance. With deep C‑suite access and a growing international partner network, our mission is bold and simple: Create AI Co-workers that think, act, and collaborate—redefining how work gets done. We are expanding fast and seeking exceptional people to help build the future of autonomous AI.

The Opportunity

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be a senior technical leader driving the development of agentic AI Co‑workers, multi‑step reasoning systems, and enterprise‑ready autonomous workflows. You will architect and deploy advanced LLM‑driven agents that plan, decide, and take action—safely, reliably, and at scale. You'll shape the technical direction of our agentic AI platform, mentor emerging talent, and ensure our systems are robust, aligned, and capable of delivering high‑value outcomes in complex environments. Your work will directly influence the evolution of how humans collaborate with AI.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and deploy agentic LLM‑driven systems with planning, tool‑use, workflow orchestration, and reasoning capabilities
  • Apply machine learning and advanced analytics to power decision‑making within autonomous AI Co‑workers
  • Enhance multi‑step reasoning quality, context management, and agent performance across real enterprise use cases
  • Lead MLOps initiatives across evaluation, benchmarking, safety, and quality for autonomous systems
  • Define long‑term strategy for agentic AI frameworks, governance, and scalable deployment patterns
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and executive teams to build production‑grade AI co-workers used by global clients
  • Mentor and uplift junior data scientists, raising the bar for scientific and engineering excellence

About You

You are an experienced Data Scientist with a strong record of delivering impactful ML systems and deep curiosity about the fast‑moving agentic AI and LLM ecosystem. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate clearly, and take a pragmatic approach to building real, production‑ready intelligence.

You bring:

  • A Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline
  • Proven delivery of high‑impact machine learning solutions in complex environments
  • Strong NLP foundations: transformers, LSTMs, CNNs, topic modelling, supervised NLP
  • Hands‑on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), RAG, multi‑agent systems, or tool‑calling architectures
  • Python focused on ML/AI and other languages
  • Experience in software development is highly desired
  • Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and influence cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Curiosity, humility, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Comfort operating in a high‑velocity, evolving environment
  • Ability to attend our Sydney CBD office 1–2 days per week

Why Join Us?

  • A high-performance culture
  • State-of-the-art technology
  • Experience world-class leadership
  • Scale of impact and purpose
  • A competitive salary and a huge growth trajectory
  • Work with the best in the industry
  • Flexible work environment
  • Diversity and creativity
