Description

Experienced Data Analyst within the Health Line of Business (LOB) at Allianz. The position is crucial for enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and usability. The key areas of focus in this role will be techicallly automating reporting processes, building dashboards, and creating tools for non-technical users to access data insights. You will have strong programming skills in Python and deep technical knowledge of databases like SQL or Oracle. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Processing & Governance:

Monthly data processing and validation.
Creation and maintenance of a Data Dictionary and standardized definitions.

Automation & Reporting:

Automation of claims reports and development of sales reports for B2B and B2C teams.
Assistance in automating integrated applications.

Dashboard & Self-Service Tools:

Design and implementation of Power BI dashboards.
Development of tools for non-technical users to query and access data.

Data Integration & Transition:

Support for platform migration, data transfer, and gap analysis.
Assistance in handover and rollout of data developments into production.

Advanced Analytics Support:

Contribution to machine learning development and AI performance monitoring.
Assistance in simulation analysis for product design and risk rating.

Claims Experience Analysis:

Tracking claims experience and identifying risk levers within data.

Profile Key Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • 2–3 years of experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong experience with Power BI.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Business Acumen:

  • Understanding of data governance principles.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to create user-friendly tools and documentation.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with data integration projects and system migrations.
  • Familiarity with insurance or health-related data environments.
  • This role is integral to the Health LOB, focusing on student and visitor health products for overseas travel to Australia, and may involve additional tasks as requested by the head of function.
