Your Opportunity

As the AI Technical Coordinator, Digital Transformation Program you will:

  • Provide technical coordination and hands-on support for the AI components of the Digital Transformation Program, including the deployment and enablement of Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI tools across the staff and student environments.
  • Contribute to the design, build and testing of AI solutions and Copilot Studio agents that streamline knowledge management, support workflows and everyday productivity for the TAFE Queensland workforce.

This position reports to the Program Change Manager, Digital Transformation Program. This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, for 12 months unless otherwise determined. The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical coordination and hands-on support for the configuration, deployment and administration of AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot across the staff and student environments.
  • Assist with the design, build, testing and maintenance of Copilot Studio agents and other AI solutions that improve knowledge management and end user support workflows.
  • Support the phased rollout of AI capabilities within the Digital Transformation Program, ensuring changes are delivered in a predictable, well-communicated and repeatable manner that minimises change fatigue.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and FAQs that support the adoption of AI tools by staff and students.
  • Monitor AI tool usage, licensing and adoption metrics, and prepare reports and insights that inform program decisions and leadership updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to AI tools, escalating complex matters as required and liaising with vendors, ICT Services teams and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to information governance and protection activities, including the application of sensitivity labels and data loss prevention controls relevant to the safe use of AI tools.
  • Collaborate with project, change and technical teams to align AI initiatives with broader Microsoft 365 and digital workplace priorities.
  • Assist in the delivery of training, guidance and communications that build staff confidence and capability in using AI tools effectively and responsibly.
  • Support the responsible, secure and ethical use of AI in line with TAFE Queensland policies, standards and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Showing Initiative, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, Microsoft 365 technologies, and the ability to quickly develop expertise in AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and deliver technical tasks within a project or program environment, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify practical, user-focused solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain English and build capability across a diverse workforce.
  • A commitment to the responsible, secure and ethical use of technology, including an understanding of information governance, privacy and compliance considerations.

Highly Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience with AI adoption, or the build and deployment of AI agents.
