At Medibank, we're moving beyond AI experimentation and into transforming how work gets done across our business. We're looking for an experienced AI Design Lead to join our newly established Enterprise AI Hub, helping define how people and AI work together to create better experiences for our customers, employees and the business.

Working at the intersection of design, technology and strategy, you'll establish the frameworks, standards and interaction patterns that make AI-enabled experiences usable, trustworthy and human-centred. You'll provide specialist leadership on high-impact AI initiatives, influence enterprise-wide design practices, and help shape Medibank's approach to Human-AI interaction.

In this role you will

Define and evolve Medibank's Human-AI Experience framework, standards and design principles.
Lead the design of AI-enabled experiences, workflows and services across customer and employee journeys.
Provide expert guidance on complex and strategic AI initiatives, ensuring trust, usability, transparency and human oversight are embedded from the start.
Establish and embed design principles, guidelines and governance processes that enable teams to deliver cohesive and user-centred experiences.
Use research, testing and live evidence to improve AI experiences and influence future design practices.
Build AI design capability across Product, Design, Research and Delivery teams through coaching, guidance and thought leadership.
Partner closely with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Legal, Privacy and Operations to ensure AI experiences are safe, ethical and effective.

You will have

Strong experience in Service Design, Experience Design, Product Design or a related human-centred design discipline.
Experience developing frameworks, standards, governance models or design systems in complex organisations.
Proven experience in strategic design, including defining design vision, influencing product direction, and driving long-term customer and business value.
Passion for emerging technologies and the opportunity AI presents to improve experiences and outcomes.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex cross-functional environments.
Experience with AI-enabled products, services or workflows is highly regarded.
