A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage an experienced AI Business Analyst to support the delivery of innovative, ethical and compliant AI-enabled services. The successful AI Business Analyst will secure an initial contract until 30 June 2026 with 1 x 12 month extension option, based in Canberra with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The Successful AI Business Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

Eliciting, analysing and documenting business, data and AI requirements
Translating requirements into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
Defining AI-specific non-functional requirements including privacy, security, transparency and robustness
Leading workshops, discovery sessions and backlog refinement across multidisciplinary teams
Developing acceptance criteria and test cases for AI/ML features

The successful AI Business Analyst will have experience in the following:

Hands-on experience supporting AI-enabled products across the Microsoft stack, including ML, NLP/LLMs, Copilot or intelligent automation
Proven ability to write testable user stories and acceptance criteria for AI features
Strong knowledge of responsible and secure AI practices including human oversight, explainability and bias mitigation
Experience with Azure DevOps, Miro or similar collaboration tools
