About the Role
We're looking to hire an AI Engineer to work closely with other members of the engineering team to scope, design, document, develop, integrate and test software to address end-user needs for a large web-based application.
Requirements We're looking to hire an AI Engineer to work closely with other members of the engineering team to scope, design, document, develop, integrate and test software to address end-user needs for a large web-based application.
- Designing, implementing and testing software components in Java
- Implementing generative AI and agentic AI solutions in software products.
- Using data storage technologies and designing data storage models e.g. Postgres, Elastic
- Coach juniors developers to ensure quality and timely delivery of software components
- Deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment e.g. AWS
- Using web front-end technologies e.g. HTML, CSS
- Using software frameworks e.g. React, Angular and Spring
- Australian citizenship required- due to eligibility for NV1 defence clearance requirement for the role
- Bachelor’s Degree in systems or software engineering/ computer science or related degrees
- 5+ years experience in software engineering / technology development
- Experience implementing generative AI and agentic AI solutions in software products.
- Must stay current with state-of-the-art AI developments and best practices, with the ability to lead AI adoption initiatives within the development team.
- Highly organised, problem solver with the ability to get things done
- Excellent, collaborative team player and able to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills, including UML
- Experience with key technology areas including software engineering, data storage, web technologies
