Overview:

The Data Scientist is accountable to the Clinical Information Director SAVCS & SHCC and works as part of the Digital Team responsible for the support, maintenance, development and continuous improvement of the State Health Coordination Centre (SHCC) data and analytics products. The role is responsible for:

  • Enabling end-user access to timely and quality information for operational, clinical, financial, tactical, management and strategic purposes;
  • Leading the development, delivery and evaluation of complex data governance and management projects, functions and services;
  • Develop, refine and operationalise advanced analytical and predictive models to support clinical and operational decision-making.
  • Provide insights, advice, training and education to key stakeholders; and
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to direct reports and junior staff.
