IAG's specialist AI and engineering unit, builds advanced Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions that power ethical, automated decision making across the organisation.
As part of the AI Engineering team, you'll provide technical leadership within cross functional squads, partnering with product and business leaders while guiding AI, software, and cloud engineers to deliver high impact solutions.
You'll design, build, and productionise AI and ML systems—owning deployment, monitoring, and optimisation—and lead the development of Generative AI solutions, from LLM integration and prompt engineering (RAG, ReAct) to finetuning specialised models.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about scalable, responsible AI, continuous learning, and shaping how AI is built and used across IAG.
What You'll Do
- Work with team members and stakeholders to manage AI projects from the concept stage to release.
- Ownership and leading project technical scope before, during and post–delivery. Ensuring the technical scope is aligned with the project/product scope as determined by the product/project manager.
- Ownership of translating business requirements as raised by the stakeholders or project manager/owner into technical delivery tasks for the development team.
- In conjunction with the product manager/owner or squad lead, frequently liaise with customers of the project/products to educate them on the technical aspects of the project/product, capture their feedback to improve the project/product.
- Working closely with Developers, DevOps Engineers, Client Representatives, Client Engineers, Account Managers, Product Managers and other project stakeholders to deliver the project you are directly or indirectly associated with.
- Determining technical requirements and providing project estimates and timelines to the product manager or other senior stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- At least 4 years of experience in AI/ML engineering and operations
- Experience and solid understanding of AI/ML in production
- Strong software engineering skills in Python
- Solid understanding of building data pipelines, ML pipelines, and Model Deployment frameworks, including Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, real-time processing and cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure automation and building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in working with and building ML models and ML pipelines in public cloud; GCP and/or AWS experience are highly regarded.
- Experience in commercial deployment of emerging ML technologies and data analytics
- Experience with ML toolkits such as Keras, Tensorflow, ScikitLearn, PyTorch or equivalent
- Ability to interact with engineering and data science teams on technical topics
