As Practice Head, Enterprise Architecture, you'll shape the future of IAG's enterprise architecture in a hands‑on, contemporary way. This role is designed for a leader who balances strategic thinking with practical application—working closely with solution architects, engineers and senior leaders to address real, complex challenges.

Leading a team of Principal Architects within one of IAG's five architecture pillars (Retail Technology, Intermediated Technology, Enterprise Technology, Integration & Channel Enablement, and Emerging Tech & Governance), you'll set clear architectural direction while ensuring it is usable, actionable and aligned to business outcomes.

With significant AI-led opportunity, this role is central to evolving IAG's enterprise ecosystem, integration capabilities and architectural maturity, while partnering confidently with EGM‑level stakeholders.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).

What You'll Do

• Own and evolve the architecture vision, roadmap and priorities for your assigned pillar.
• Lead and develop a team of Principal Enterprise Architects
• Translate business strategy into clear, practical architectural direction.
• Partner closely with solution architects and engineering teams to solve complex problems.
• Shape enterprise integration and channel enablement capabilities across ecosystems.
• Influence technology investment decisions through executive‑level engagement.
• Drive architectural quality, coherence and governance across the enterprise.

What You'll Bring

• Senior enterprise architecture leadership experience in complex, regulated environments
• Strong background in integration architecture and enterprise ecosystem design
• Demonstrated ability to work deeply with engineering and solution architecture teams
• Strategic architecture experience in banking, telco or similarly fast‑paced industries
• Proven executive‑level stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Pragmatic mindset balancing innovation (including AI) with risk, scale and sustainability
• Strong people leadership capability, with experience leading senior architects
