Job Description

Your new role

This is a transformational leadership role designed to drive the next phase of maturity for Member data at the Fund. As Principal – Member Data Management, you will lead the team responsible for embedding data product management practices, delivering trusted and scalable data products, and enabling insight-driven decision-making across the Member domain. 

 

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Actively drive adoption of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning to automate data management & ops processes, enhance data quality, and unlock advanced techniques to enable business intelligence to provide a more seamless user experience and value.

  • Enable & roll out self-service data and analytics capabilities across the Member domain, ensuring trusted, well-governed data is easily accessible for decision-making and enabling business processes across various user personas. 

  • As a member of the Data Services Leadership team, contribute to establishment of the function and development of its capabilities, and contribute towards uplifting the Fund’s overall data capabilities and data risk posture

  • Proactively engage with colleagues at all levels, act as an evangelist for data management in the Fund, and communicate its significance in a crisp and meaningful manner 

  • Collaborate and support the Head of Data Governance with the rollout of the data governance framework, key policies, and standards to the Member Domain.

  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the data dictionary, business glossary, domains data models and lineage 

  • Translate the 2035 strategy into clear priorities and actions for team, ensuring every team member understands how their work drives the Fund’s purpose and long-term goals.

  • Culture - ensure the Fund’s Members First culture is consistently and firmly embedded

  • Foster a high-performance culture by ensuring the team is empowered, accountable, and focused on delivering exceptional results through collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.

What you’ll need

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering data & analytics transformation initiatives in a senior management capacity.

  • Embed agile principles and practices across the team, supporting iterative delivery, rapid feedback, and ongoing learning.

  • Mentor team members in agile methodologies, fostering a mindset of adaptability and continuous improvement.

  • Experience in developing and embedding data product management practices, deploying and managing critical data and insights products in a large, complex organisation.

  • Proven ability to embed data product management practices and oversee the lifecycle of data products to deliver measurable business value.

  • Experience enabling self-service data and analytics capabilities and driving adoption of data products across business domains.

  • Experience in enabling advanced analytics and AI teams.
