Eligibility/Other Requirements:  

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A visionary leader with a strong aptitude for strategic thinking and planning
  • Experienced in policy development and implementation and program management within large, complex organisations
  • Skilled at building and leading diverse, high-performing teams, fostering a culture of trust and innovation
  • An excellent communicator and advocate, comfortable engaging with executives and national stakeholders
  • Analytical, with sound judgement and the ability to tackle complex issues
  • Adaptable, ready to thrive in a dynamic, high-scrutiny environment

Compliance Requirements:

  • Due to the need to work across Commonwealth data and AI matters, and national projects, this position also requires a national security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) issued by AGSVA. As such, applicants must be Australian citizens.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill the same or similar vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
