Full Time / Permanent

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Automation & AI Implementation Specialist based in Australia.

The Senior Automation & AI Implementation Specialist will lead the adoption of artificial intelligence and workflow automation across a U.S.-based law firm. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a highly autonomous technical professional who can identify operational inefficiencies and turn them into practical, scalable solutions. You will assess existing processes, build AI-powered workflows, and connect essential business applications to streamline daily operations. Working with leading LLMs, automation platforms, APIs, and AI-assisted coding tools, you will improve reliability, reduce manual work, and develop customized internal solutions. You will own projects end-to-end, from identifying problems and designing solutions to implementation, testing, and continuous optimization. With direct access to firm leadership, you will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on operational efficiency and digital transformation.

Accountabilities:

  • Audit existing workflows across the firm to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for AI adoption, automation, and process improvement.
  • Independently design, build, implement, and optimize AI-powered workflows that improve productivity and streamline legal operations.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and enhance existing automations and integrations to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations across Clio, Lawmatics, Slack, Gmail, Dialpad, Hubstaff, Agorapulse, and other relevant business applications.
  • Build and manage automation workflows using Zapier and n8n, developing more customized solutions when standard integrations are insufficient.
  • Use APIs, webhooks, and custom development to connect systems, address technical limitations, and create tailored internal tools.
  • Leverage Claude Code and other leading large language models (LLMs) to accelerate development, troubleshoot systems, modify code, and implement AI-driven business processes.
  • Take full ownership of automation projects, from problem identification and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency without relying on detailed instructions or constant supervision.
  • Ensure that implemented solutions address business needs, integrate effectively with existing systems, and remain reliable over time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience implementing workflow automation and process improvements specifically within law firms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AI implementation, business process automation, and operational optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience using large language models such as Claude, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Gemini, or comparable tools to build AI-powered workflows and business process solutions.
  • Experience integrating LLMs into business processes using APIs, webhooks, n8n, Zapier, or custom development.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools to troubleshoot existing systems, write or modify code, connect APIs, and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Practical experience with Clio and Lawmatics.
  • Experience integrating business platforms such as Slack, Gmail, Dialpad, Hubstaff, and Agorapulse, or comparable tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and custom software or internal tool development.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose broken automations and implement effective, lasting fixes.
  • Ability to independently identify inefficient processes, evaluate available technologies, and select appropriate technical solutions.
  • Strong project ownership and execution skills, with the ability to manage initiatives from initial assessment through deployment and ongoing optimization with minimal direction.
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with firm leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Availability to maintain partial overlap with U.S. business hours; full overlap is not required.
  • Willingness to use Hubstaff for time tracking during working hours.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote work arrangement, open to candidates worldwide.
  • Long-term opportunity with an established law firm.
  • Flexible working arrangements, with partial overlap with U.S. business hours required rather than full-day overlap.
  • High-impact role with direct access to firm leadership.
  • Opportunity to lead AI adoption, workflow automation, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Autonomy to identify challenges, select technical solutions, and manage projects from conception through implementation.
  • Opportunity to work with modern AI tools, automation platforms, APIs, and custom integrations.
