GrainCorp is currently seeking a Data Scientist to work with a motivated and collaborative team to lead data science and AI activities to support advanced analytic use cases’ success. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Develop, build, and deploy machine learning models
- Utilize Apache Spark and Azure Cloud for large-scale data processing and model deployment
- Write efficient and maintainable Python code for data manipulation and model development
- Communicate findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
About your experience
Candidates will have a strong analytical foundation and a passion for leveraging data science to solve business challenges. Candidates will also display:
- Communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Data analysis skills, capable of interpreting data and generating actionable insights
- Hands-on experience in model build and deployment, particularly in machine learning
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Apache Spark and Azure Cloud platform
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization
- Degree qualified in STEM field
About your skills
Technical:
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing various machine learning models and statistical techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages, primarily Python, and experience in data manipulation
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop and knowledge of SQL for extracting and manipulating large datasets
- Experience working with Azure Cloud platform
