The Role

Shape the future of work at NGS Super through AI and automation. As our AI Developer, you'll design, build and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve the employee experience across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll develop intelligent agents, automation workflows and system integrations that solve real business challenges and unlock smarter ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the adoption of emerging AI technologies, identify new opportunities for innovation, and play a key role in transforming how our people work every day.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract based at our Sydney head office.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and deploy AI agents and automation solutions that improve business processes and productivity.
  • Translate business requirements into practical AI and automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between business systems using APIs and workflow automation tools.
  • Configure and optimise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Q and Salesforce Einstein.
  • Monitor, maintain and continuously enhance AI solutions to ensure performance, accuracy and scalability.
  • Partner with data and technology teams to enable secure, reliable and well-governed AI solutions.
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and develop proof-of-concept initiatives to drive innovation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhance the employee experience across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Support AI adoption by sharing knowledge, building capability and promoting best-practice use of AI tools.

About you

As a hands-on AI Developer, you'll combine strong technical expertise with a passion for innovation, automation and delivering practical AI solutions, as well as the following:

  • Proven experience delivering AI, automation or digital solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Salesforce Einstein and other emerging AI technologies.
  • Strong technical skills across APIs, workflow automation, integrations and cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, and modern development practices including CI/CD.
  • The ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable and user-centred solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimisation and innovation.
  • An understanding of AI governance, security, ethical considerations and risk controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging AI and automation trends.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, Amazon Q or similar AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, NLP and AI model optimisation techniques.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS environments and automation technologies.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments and innovation-focused teams.
  • Strong documentation skills and relevant tertiary qualifications in a technology-related discipline.
