About the role

As an AI Engineer, you'll design, build and support production‑grade AI applications and solutions that help TAC teams improve services, decision‑making and operational efficiency. A major focus of this role will be delivering AI capabilities, using techniques such as retrieval‑augmented generation, context engineering, prompt orchestration and modern application frameworks to turn complex information into clear, usable insights.

You'll also develop and maintain data pipelines, deployment pipelines, and MLOps/AIOps practices to ensure TAC's AI solutions are reliable, observable and secure in production environments.

This is a hands‑on engineering role suited to someone who has moved real AI solutions into production, thrives in an agile, collaborative environment, and brings a strong engineering mindset rather than a data science focus.

About the Team

This role sits within the Performance, Insights and Analytics team in the broader Performance, Risk & Strategy division, working closely with data professionals, product owners and security teams to deliver high‑value AI solutions. You'll be supported by a manager who values clarity, autonomy and technical excellence, and you'll collaborate with a team known for being curious, adaptable and committed to making the complicated simple.

What we're looking for

Hands‑on AI engineering expertise

You have practical experience delivering production‑grade AI solutions, including generative AI techniques such as retrieval‑augmented generation, context engineering and prompt orchestration. You've built and deployed real AI applications, ideally in areas like RAG and document content extraction and summarisation, with a strong focus on reliability and maintainability.

Strong software and cloud engineering capability

You bring proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience building AI‑enabled applications using modern frameworks. You're comfortable working with Azure AI Services, Databricks and contemporary engineering practices to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

MLOps, AIOps and DevOps mindset

You apply DevOps principles including source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and infra‑as‑code. You have experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and observability for AI applications, ensuring solutions perform reliably in production environments.

Adaptable, collaborative and delivery‑focused

You thrive in an agile environment, iterate quickly and communicate clearly. You work autonomously with strong ownership, while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to solve problems and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
