Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to join the Data & AI team. Effective team members in the Data & AI team combine a clear vision for the future with a strong focus on value, curiosity, and practical delivery. They apply data and artificial intelligence to drive innovation, unlock new opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and enable meaningful improvements that support Fortescue's strategic direction.

The team attracts, develops, and grows people who are passionate about designing, building, and evolving enterprise grade data and AI solutions. Team members play a critical role in empowering better decision-making and operational efficiency across Fortescue, ensuring data and AI capabilities are scalable, secure, and aligned with the organisation's broader objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead prioritisation and delivery of Data & AI initiatives, aligning workstreams with strategic objectives and business demand
  • Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks, including integrated roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, reporting, and release cadence
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, conflicts, and escalations to ensure continuity of delivery and timely resolution of issues
  • Ensure adherence to change management, platform standards, and operational processes across all initiatives
  • Define and track value realisation frameworks to ensure Data & AI initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Identify and manage delivery, operational, security, and compliance risks, including release readiness across environments
  • Own financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, cloud cost management, and governance of tooling and vendor investments
  • Lead resource and workforce planning across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring optimal utilisation and alignment to future demand
  • Manage vendor and partner performance, ensuring alignment with delivery standards, governance, and contractual expectations
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and demand management, translating business needs into structured delivery pipelines while fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years in enterprise technology delivery
  • Strong Data/Cloud/AI exposure
  • Budget management experience
  • Offshore leadership experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Executive stakeholder engagement capability
  • Experience building governance frameworks.
