About the role:

We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to lead the design, governance and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities across BaptistCare. This strategic role sits within our Information and Digital function and plays a key role in shaping how AI, including Generative AI and predictive analytics, supports organisational performance, innovation and service quality.

Reporting to the GM IT Strategy and Architecture, you will provide architectural leadership across AI platforms, data integration, governance, security and responsible AI practices. You will ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, ethical and aligned with enterprise architecture and organisational strategy.

Working across Information & Digital, Innovation, Research and operational business units, this role enables the effective and safe adoption of AI technologies that support workforce sustainability, operational efficiency and high-quality, person-centred care.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, AI engineering or advanced analytics environments, including practical experience delivering AI solutions into production
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise AI, data or digital architecture solutions within complex environments
  • AI, cloud or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g. Azure AI Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning, TOGAF, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent)
  • Experience implementing Generative AI, predictive analytics or intelligent automation solutions at enterprise scale
  • Experience establishing AI governance, responsible AI frameworks or model risk management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, problem-solving and communication skill

Desirable:

  • Experience implementing AI solutions within health, aged care, community services or other highly regulated environments
  • Experience establishing enterprise AI governance frameworks, model assurance practices or responsible AI controls
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, innovation or enterprise data initiatives
  • Experience working within not-for-profit or mission-driven organisations
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as intelligent automation, robotics, IoT or wearable technologies
