About the role
Reporting to the Lead Data Insights and Visualisation Specialist, you will drive data-led decision making by delivering innovative, end-to-end data and AI solutions across the organisation. You will work across the full data lifecycle, combining analytics, data science and data engineering to build models, generate insights and develop AI-enabled solutions that solve complex business problems. This role translates complex data into actionable insights and leverages emerging AI tools to support smarter, faster and more effective decision making.
Key responsibilities
- Build predictive models, forecasting solutions and segmentation strategies
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve business problems
- Leverage AI tools (including Gemini and similar platforms) to develop innovative solutions
- Work with large datasets in Snowflake and cloud platforms (GCP and/or Azure)
- Perform data transformation, feature engineering and modelling
- Develop dashboards and visualisations for a range of stakeholders
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and actionable insights to support decision-making
- Integrate and manage data pipelines using tools such as Integrate.io
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver insights
- Contribute to continuous improvement across analytics, data science and data engineering practices
About you
You are a curious and innovative data professional who enjoys solving complex problems and turning data into meaningful, actionable insights. You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Python and/or R programming skills for data analysis and modelling
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning and data modelling
- Experience developing dashboards using Power BI and/or Looker Studio
- Familiarity with GA4 or similar digital analytics tools
- Exposure to AI tools such as Gemini or OpenAI in a business context
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and improvement
Additional requirements
- Successful completion of relevant probity checks
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement
- Ability to work outside standard hours when required
- Ability to travel domestically if required
