We're excited to welcome the Manager Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Hub to our Digital Health and Technology Portfolio.

This position provides leadership of Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service AI strategy, implementation of SCH developed AI initiatives and development of partnerships with SCH staff, tertiary educational organisations and private industry to identify and address SCH challenges or improve SCH outcomes.

The role will require the knowledge and experience to build this new function within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. lead AI strategy development, AI product and solution development as well as the skills to manage a team of AI developers. Strong engagement and partnering skills across a range of varied stakeholders will also be crucial to the success of this exciting and transformative role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide authoritative, expert and timely advice within the Digital Health and Technology Portfolio and to the Chief Digital Officer, Executive and other stakeholders on AI innovation strategy, AI product and solution development services, ensuring the successful planning, delivery, support and sustainability of initiatives.
  • Build the new AI Innovation Hub function and establish a positive culture that underpins the successful development of an AI innovation strategy and creation of an environment that enables new transformational ideas to come to fruition through successful initiation and implementation.
  • Leverage strong communication and collaboration skills to build partnerships with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health staff (clinical, technical and corporate), Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI), tertiary educational organisations and private industry to help deliver on the AI innovation strategy and tackle the challenges faced by Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health.
  • Foster research in AI in healthcare and actively seek opportunities to participate in relevant studies in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Health Institute and partners.

Remuneration value up to $187 651 p.a., comprising salary between $155 432 - $164 467 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO8).
