Role Summary
We’re looking for a Support Engineer to join the team and help operate and support our infrastructure platforms. This role is focused on hands-on technical support across cloud, storage, and Kubernetes environments, with a strong emphasis on learning and problem-solving.
Support is a role we expect to develop internally rather than hire perfectly formed for — so curiosity, attitude, and willingness to figure things out are just as important as existing experience.
Skills and experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Evidence of strong command-line usage (e.g. home lab, personal projects, or work experience not reliant on GUIs)
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles (e.g. IT support, tech bar, service desk, or similar)
- Baseline scripting ability (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack or CloudStack
- Familiarity with container and cloud-native tooling (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Exposure to storage platforms and infrastructure systems
- Experience working in on-call or night shift environments
- Awareness of security best practices in operational environments
What sets you apart
- Deeper experience with Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure operations
- Exposure to production-grade storage systems
- Experience in infrastructure troubleshooting at scale
- Strong automation mindset beyond basic scripting
- Comfortable working across a wide range of systems and digging into unfamiliar problems
- Strong willingness to learn, experiment, and troubleshoot independently
- Genuine curiosity about how systems work end-to-end
- Understands that support engineering is as much about attitude, persistence, and ownership as prior experience
Additional Requirement Must be willing and eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance
