Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant or Manager to join our Digital Trust and Security team supporting our clients' security governance and projects as they strive to turn AI ambition into practical outcomes. The role focuses on shaping ideas, supporting experiments, coordinating delivery and helping teams move from concepts & pilots through to production under clear guardrails. This role will work closely with governance, IT, policy and business teams to enable safe, responsible and value-driven AI adoption across enterprise.

In this role you will play a key role in:

Enabling Secure AI innovation and experimentation

  • Support our teams & clients to shape AI ideas into clear problem statements, experiments and projects
  • Apply innovation frameworks to test value early and reduce delivery risk
  • Help teams navigate pathways from idea to pilot to scaled delivery

Supporting AI strategy & execution

  • Enable clients to articulate their vision, mission and direction with practical activities and initiatives
  • Support the development and maintenance of AI roadmaps, delivery plans and artefacts

Building AI capability & community

  • Contribute and shape AI capability uplift activities, tools, templates and guidance
  • Support communities of practice, innovation events and collaboration forums
  • Help staff build confidence to use AI effectively within approved boundaries

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will possess a robust background in security consulting or security operations, ideally complemented by domain expertise AI Security, along with outstanding leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Some essential experience we're looking for:

  • Deep knowledge of security domains and expertise level knowledge of at least 2 domains of security
  • Practical experience securing AI use and or delivering improved security outcomes through AI enablement
  • Shaping innovation, digital, data or AI-enable initiatives in a complex organization
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous ideas into clear problems, options and solutions
  • Experience working across technical & non-technical stakeholders
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong delivery mindset with comfort working in uncertainty

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with AI, automation, data or emerging technologies
  • Familiarity with public sector innovation, digital delivery or policy environments
  • Understanding of safe and responsible AI principles and whole-of-government practices
  • Experience using structured frameworks for experimentation, value-management or capability uplift
