About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and inspire delivery teams to achieve exceptional customer outcomes. This role will see you shaping and delivering Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects that align with business strategy, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability to deliver measurable success. You’ll form strong relationships with key stakeholders, lead high-performing teams, and make confident decisions that balance time, cost, scope, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery
    • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria for AI initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
    • Manage sprint planning and backlog using tools like Azure DevOps.

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Microsoft, vendors).
    • Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders.
    • Provide regular status updates and governance reports.

 

  • Technical Coordination
    • Oversee infrastructure setup for AI solutions, including cloud environments.
    • Ensure integration of AI models and platforms with enterprise systems.
    • Support data engineering and model deployment activities.

 

  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and AI ethics standards.
    • Manage risk assessments and compliance documentation.
    • Align projects with organizational governance frameworks.

 

  • Risk & Issue Management
    • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
    • Maintain issue logs and implement corrective actions promptly.

 

  • Innovation Leadership
    • Identify and prioritize AI use cases aligned with business objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement and adoption of emerging AI technologies.

Experience and Personal Attributes

  • 5+ years’ proven experience in project management with 4+ years in financial services, ideally within superannuation, risk insurance, or capital markets.
  • Expertise across project governance, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills – able to engage, inspire and influence.
  • Commercially savvy with a sharp focus on achieving business value.
  • Excellent communicator with outstanding organisational skills.
  • Strong experience in management of risk.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams across diverse platforms

Our Corporate Centre Technology Services & Information Security function manages our IT infrastructure, technology operations, and information security. It oversees IT system development, maintenance, and security to ensure smooth technology operations support our daily activities. 

We implement strong cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and manage service delivery through effective IT service management practices. By supporting global operations, we ensure our technological infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
