It's a chance to build AI and automation capability from the ground up in a purpose‑led organization where your work directly supports people and families.

About the Role

You'll report to the Technology Lead and help design, build, and implement an AI and automation platform that lifts efficiency, scalability, and insight across Avivo. You'll work in our Technology Team with data engineering, integration, architecture, systems and operations streams and with business stakeholders to spot opportunities, shape solutions, and embed capability across the organization. The role is full time with a 12 months fixed term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI and automation frameworks and platforms
  • Research, recommend and implement AI, ML and automation tools
  • Develop automation scripts and frameworks to streamline workflows and improve data quality
  • Build and deploy AI/ML models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection and decision‑making
  • Integrate solutions with existing systems and platforms
  • Work with Data Engineers on data prep, model training and validation
  • Deploy, monitor and continually improve ML models in production
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate technical ideas into practical outcomes
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and data‑governance standards
  • Apply best‑practice software development, including testing, documentation and release management
  • Stay up to date with emerging AI, ML and automation approaches and recommend improvements

About You

You're a strong technical developer who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with people to deliver meaningful outcomes. You balance deep technical skill with clear communication and a collaborative way of working.

You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Analytics or similar
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala or similar languages
  • Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g. AI Foundry or equivalent)
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio
  • Working knowledge of Azure
  • Familiarity with DevOps and deployment practices
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Confident communication across technical and non‑technical audiences

Why Join Avivo?

  • Purpose‑driven work that positively impacts people and communities
  • Opportunity to design and shape AI and automation capability from the ground up
  • Collaborative, values‑led culture that genuinely values its people
  • Supportive leadership and a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Work in an organization where technology enables better outcomes for others
  • Hybrid working opportunities
  • Salary Package up to $18,550 to reduce taxable income
