Amplar Health Home Hospital is transforming the way healthcare is delivered in Australia—bringing high‑quality acute care to patients where they are most comfortable. To help us continue growing and innovating, we’re looking for a curious, motivated and adaptable Graduate Data Scientist to join our Data, Technology & Innovation team.

This is an exciting hybrid role where you will not only build your data science and analytics capability but also support our Home Hospital operations with Level 1 technology and systems support. It’s perfect for someone who loves solving problems, learning quickly, and working at the intersection of health, data and digital operations.

What You’ll Do

Data Science & Analytics (Primary Responsibility)

  • Work with clinical, operational and technology teams to understand data needs and uncover insights.
  • Build dashboards, visualisations and reports that help us improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with data modelling, forecasting, and exploratory analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Clean, transform and analyse data from clinical and operational systems.
  • Support ongoing data quality, governance and documentation.

Technology Support (Level 1 Help Desk)

  • Provide first-level support for clinicians and operational staff using Home Hospital systems and devices.
  • Troubleshoot common issues (logins, connectivity, device setup, basic application support).
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical team members when required.
  • Help maintain knowledge-base documentation and contribute to smoother day‑to‑day technology operations.

What You’ll Bring

  • A recent degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Engineering or similar.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Great communication skills and comfort working with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A willingness to jump in, learn quickly and support the team wherever needed—including help desk duties.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare innovation and using data to improve patient outcomes.

Why Join Us

  • Work in a mission-driven organisation making healthcare more accessible and patient‑centred.
  • Grow your skills across data science, digital health, operations and customer support.
  • Be part of a supportive, high‑performing team that values learning and development.
  • Opportunities to shape the future of virtual and in-home care.
