About us:

We are NCS Australia! We have brought together Australia's best tech talent, working as one to harness technology and advance our communities, to make the extraordinary happen. We're proud of our rich history of partnering with our clients to develop end to end digital technology solutions to accelerate their transformation and innovation journey. For over 40+ years our diverse global teams have delivered large-scale, mission-critical, multi-platform projects to governments and enterprises.

NCS is seeking a Process Redesign Specialist – Data & AI to join our Consulting & Transformation practice, supporting clients across large-scale, technology-led transformation programs. This role sits within our Data & AI Process Excellence capability, where you will partner with clients (telco, enterprise, public sector) to redesign and optimise data-driven processes, governance models, and operating frameworks.

You will operate at the intersection of business, data, and technology, translating complex data challenges into structured, scalable processes that enable trusted data, AI adoption, and better decision-making. A key aspect of the role will be to assess data and process maturity, define target-state capabilities, and develop structured uplift roadmaps to progressively enhance client data maturity.

The Data & AI Process Redesign Specialist is responsible for:

  • Leading end-to-end transformation of data and AI processes, focusing on analysing current-state operations, identifying inefficiencies, and designing practical, future-state processes aligned with modern cloud and AI ecosystems
  • Assessing data maturity across governance, quality, ownership, and technology, and developing structured uplift roadmaps with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes
  • Designing and implementing robust data governance frameworks, defining ownership models, and establishing operating structures with clear accountability and decision-making processes
  • Supporting data acquisition and ingestion processes, ensuring alignment of master and reference data, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and facilitating governance forums for stakeholder decision-making
  • Continuous improvement, process standardisation, and embedding scalable, well-documented workflows that drive business value and support AI enablement

Required Experience:

  • Strong experience in process redesign, business transformation, or consulting, ideally with a Data & AI focus
  • Proven experience delivering client-facing transformation engagements in data, governance, or operating model design
  • Strong capability in end-to-end process mapping and future-state design (BPMN, Signavio or equivalent)
  • Experience conducting maturity assessments and defining transformation roadmaps (data, process, or governance)
  • Experience designing or implementing data governance processes and operating models
  • Ability to engage, influence, and advise senior stakeholders (business & technology)
  • Experience working in Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery environments

Desirable:

  • Experience in Telco, Data & AI transformation or large enterprise transformation programs
  • Experience with data governance, manage data sources and data ingestion
  • Experience with master data management (MDM) and enterprise data frameworks
  • Understanding of data platforms, cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS), and AI enablement
  • Experience working within a Process CoE or Data CoE environment
