Senior Data Science Manager – Personalisation

Are you a technical leader who loves building high-impact data science products and growing exceptional teams? A leading enterprise organisation is scaling its Personalisation & Data Science foundations – and we’re looking for a standout Senior Lead to help shape what great looks like.
The Role
Working in a fast paced environment, you’ll drive the technical development and delivery of all personalisation and data science foundation initiatives. You’ll mentor a talented team of data scientists and ML engineers while partnering closely with senior business and product stakeholders to turn complex challenges into innovative, customer-impacting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end development life-cycle – from ideation and scoping through to production deployment.
• Champion best-in-class practices across ML, MLOps, GenAI, and Agentic AI.
• Partner with product managers and executives to shape the personalisation roadmap and influence strategic priorities.
• Translate business objectives into actionable technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML to drive personalisation, value uplift, and operational efficiency.
About You
• 10+ years of proven experience delivering complex DS/ML products from inception to production with a strong product mindset.
• A track record of leading and developing high-performing DS and MLE teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior/executive stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments and navigating large, complex organisations.
• Deep expertise across ML techniques, experimentation, propensity modelling, recommender systems, and reinforcement learning.
• Strong command of feature engineering, model development, tuning, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Expert proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles: CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), orchestration, and model monitoring.
• A relevant quantitative degree (postgraduate highly regarded).
