The Role:

We're looking for a Principal Consultant – Data & AI Security & Governance to join our growing Data & AI Practice. This is a customer-facing advisory and consulting role where you'll help organisations assess AI readiness, identify governance and security risks, and establish the foundations required for responsible AI adoption.

You'll work closely with customers, architects, security specialists and business leaders to translate complex risks, controls and governance requirements into practical roadmaps that enable safe and scalable AI outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead AI security, governance and readiness assessments for customers.
• Facilitate workshops to identify AI opportunities, risks and required controls.
• Develop governance frameworks and practical recommendations for responsible AI adoption.
• Translate AI, data and cyber risks into clear business outcomes.
• Partner with Data, AI, Cloud and Cyber teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
• Guide customers from discovery through to proof-of-value and adoption.
• Build reusable frameworks, playbooks and governance assets that strengthen our practice.

About You:

• Experience in security, governance, risk, compliance or advisory consulting across AI, data, cloud or emerging technologies.
• Strong understanding of information security, privacy, identity and data governance.
• Skilled at assessing risks, identifying control gaps and delivering pragmatic recommendations.
• Confident working with stakeholders from technical teams through to executives.
• Able to simplify complex concepts into practical business outcomes.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with M365 Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Fabric, Purview, Defender or Sentinel.
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI agents, LLMs and Responsible AI frameworks.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Relevant certifications across security, governance, privacy, cloud, data or AI.
