We're looking for a motivated and curious Graduate AI Developer to join our Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career at the forefront of artificial intelligence. Working alongside experienced technology professionals and business stakeholders, you'll help design, build and deploy AI-powered solutions that solve real business problems and improve the way our people work. You'll gain hands-on experience with leading AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, Claude Artifacts, Claude Code and Codex, while developing practical software engineering skills and contributing to a growing AI capability across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities:
- Build, prototype and enhance AI-powered tools using Microsoft Copilot, Claude Artifacts and other emerging AI technologies.
- Support the deployment and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the business.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate ideas into practical, user-friendly AI solutions.
- Test, refine and quality assure AI solutions to ensure they are reliable, accurate and fit for purpose.
- Produce clear technical documentation, user guides and training materials to support successful adoption.
- Apply software development best practices, including version control, code reviews and structured release processes using GitHub.
- Assist with data integration and other technical tasks that support AI solution delivery.
- Apply responsible AI and governance principles, identifying and escalating potential risks where appropriate.
- Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape and share insights, tools and best practices with the team.
What you bring:
- A recent (or soon to be completed) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Strong programming fundamentals, ideally with experience in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with React is advantageous.
- Exposure to AI, large language models or generative AI through university, internships or personal projects.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests and collaborative development practices.
- An understanding of software development lifecycle principles and modern development tools such as VS Code and GitHub.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine curiosity about AI, a proactive approach to learning and a passion for exploring new technologies.
- An understanding of responsible AI, prompt engineering and Microsoft 365 Copilot is desirable but not essential.
