We’re looking for a Data Solutions Analyst / Scientist to lead the development of forecasting and AI-enabled models, scalable data products and decision-ready insights that shape how our national network operates.
About the opportunity
This is a high-impact role sitting within Network Insights, Analytics and Reporting team, where you’ll own forecasting across Australia Post’s end-to-end network from first mile through to delivery.
You’ll work in a fast-moving operational environment, partnering closely with Operations, Planning, Finance, Commercial and Technology teams to influence decisions that balance service, cost, safety and capacity.
This role suits someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, understand uncertainty, and translate complex modelling into clear, actionable insights that drive real operational outcomes.
About the role
You will lead the development and continuous improvement of forecasting solutions that support both operational execution and long-term network strategy.
Working with large, complex datasets, you’ll build and manage models that inform everything from daily planning decisions through to multi-year volume forecasts and network optimisation.
You’ll also play a key role in modernising our forecasting capability building governed, scalable data solutions that move us beyond one-off analysis to trusted, production-grade forecasting tools used across the business

About you
You’re a pragmatic and commercially minded problem solver who thrives at the intersection of data, operations and decision-making.
You’re comfortable working with ambiguity, enjoy challenging assumptions, and care deeply about building solutions that are scalable, governed and genuinely used by the business.
You’ll also bring
Experience in logistics, network operations or planning environments is highly regarded.
