This is your opportunity to work alongside some of the best in the industry, within a collaborative, high‑trust environment that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning.

About the role
You will sit at the intersection of technology strategy and delivery execution – working across SEEK’s Technology and AI teams to translate big aspirations into actionable architecture roadmaps and pragmatic solutions. Your role blends deep technical expertise with influence, governance, and leadership in the data architecture space.
What you’ll be doing

  • Lead with impact – Champion architectural best practice to ensure all data solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with SEEK standards.
  • Enable autonomy – Establish guardrails and principles that empower teams to make aligned technology decisions.
  • Work with delivery teams – Collaborate closely with engineers and data specialists to influence design and operational best practice.
  • Explore what’s next – Research and assess new technologies, recommending adoption where they deliver value.
  • Protect the business – Identify architectural risks early and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Connect and influence – Communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
About the team
You’ll join SEEK’s high‑performing Architecture function of 25+ professionals spanning six key domains: Enterprise, Customer, Data & AI, Platform, Growth, and Architecture Practices. Your focus will be within Data & AI Architecture, supporting Data Services, AI Analytics, and SEEK’s broader AI‑powered ambitions. We’re collaborative, outcome‑focused, and love solving big, complex problems that make a difference for millions of users.

Qualifications
Technical expertise
  • Extensive experience in data architecture – including modelling, warehousing, lakes, ETL/ELT, and modern data platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of batch/real‑time processing, event‑driven designs, and building scalable pipelines across mixed database environments.
  • Experience with analytics platforms, visualisation tools, and integrating ML capabilities for advanced analytics.
  • Proven expertise in data governance – frameworks, catalogues, lineage, metadata, privacy‑by‑design, classification, and access control.
  • Background in enterprise integration and data management – including interoperability, federation, MDM, and data quality improvement.
Personal skills
  • Strategic vision – Balance big‑picture thinking with practical delivery.
  • Collaborative mindset – Work well across tech and business domains.
