YOUR NEW ROLE

The Data Platforms and AI Product Manager leads the delivery of secure, scalable and ethical data and AI capabilities that support innovation, better decision-making and improved customer experiences across the organisation. Working closely with business and technology teams, you will manage data platforms, analytics tools, governance frameworks and emerging AI services aligned to NSW Government standards. This role is ideal for someone passionate about collaboration, continuous improvement and responsible AI, with a strong product mindset and a commitment to building inclusive, transparent and impactful digital solutions that create meaningful organisational outcomes.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

To be considered for this opportunity you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in product management or digital leadership across data, analytics, or AI platforms, with responsibility for end-to-end product lifecycle delivery and strategic roadmap development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern data platform architecture, including ETL pipelines, APIs, cloud storage, metadata management, platform integration and scalable, secure infrastructure design.
  • Experience working with contemporary data and analytics tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, DataHub and Looker or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning platforms, responsible AI principles, governance frameworks, model lifecycle management and public sector privacy and data-sharing requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and lead cross-functional teams in agile environments.
  • Proven ability to make strategic technical decisions, prioritise competing demands, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement while balancing innovation, compliance and organisational objectives.
