About the Role 

We’re looking for a curious, driven, and forward thinking Data, Reporting & AI Product Owner to join our Fraud, Scams & Estates Strategic Program. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape how our organisation leverages data, reporting and AI to protect our customers, strengthen risk management, and uplift efficiency across the bank. 

As a key leader in our program, you will partner closely with teams across the business to understand their needs, uncover insights, and translate ideas into clear, actionable product plans. You will guide the development and delivery of insightful data, reporting, and AI solutions that make a meaningful difference and empowering people with better information, reducing risk, and supporting smarter decisionmaking. 

You’ll also help define the future of how we use data and emerging AI technologies responsibly, ensuring our tools are innovative, safe, impactful, and aligned with our commitment to protecting both our customers and our people. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and own the product roadmap for data, reporting, and AI solutions within the program
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to deeply understand problems, needs, and opportunities
  • Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories and product plans
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure high quality, timely execution and adoption of solutions 
  • Champion responsible, ethical, and secure use of AI and data across all product development 
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and simplification across reporting, analytics, and automation capabilities. 

 
What do I need? 

You’ll bring a mix of practical skills, curiosity, and a willingness to collaborate with others. 

  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear well-defined requirements  
  • Experience working with data, analytics, reporting or AI products 
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage a backlog and guide Agile delivery teams 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Familiarity with relevant technical tools and platforms, including QL/SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Applan, Pyhton and VBA and an understanding of AI concepts 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, data informed  
  • Tertiary qualification in Data Science or a related discipline
