About the role:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Mid to Senior Data Engineer to join our team and support a key project involving the migration of data from a legacy data platform to a Snowflake Data Warehouse. This role is deeply technical, with a strong emphasis on designing, building, and optimising modern data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure services.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Several years of experience as a Data Engineer

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehousing, SQL, performance tuning, tasks, streams, etc.)

  • Proficiency with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Key Vault

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or dbt, or Logic apps (at least one required)

  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles and data modelling

  • Experience working with legacy data platforms or enterprise data extraction/integration tools (preferred)

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets

  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for data pipelines (advantageous)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

In this role, you will:

  • Design and build scalable pipelines to support the migration from a legacy data platform to Snowflake

  • Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or dbt

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop robust data models

  • Manage and optimise data transformations and processing following Snowflake best practices

  • Implement monitoring, validation, and alerting to ensure data quality and reliability

  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues to maintain high availability and performance

  • Contribute to improving engineering standards, documentation, and workflows
