We have a couple of opportunities for Data Scientists across different work streams within Quantium Telstra:

Fraud AI Transformation: The Quantium Telstra Fraud team contribute to work that helps protect Telstra and its customers from fraudulent and scam activity. You will support the development of analytics,models and AI solutions embedded into Telstra's operational systems. You will be part of a well-established, highly collaborative team delivering meaningful commercial and customer impact. This role suits someone who enjoys working with data and code and wants to learn how analytics and AI are applied in real production environments.

Mobility+: The Quantium Telstra Location Data team and play a pivotal role in transforming one of Australia's richest geospatial datasets into actionable insights for industries such as transport, tourism, government services and retail. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology and business,leveraging advanced analytics and AI tools to enhance the value of location data.

How you'll create impact:

  • Use Python and SQL to analyse data, engineer features and support models
  • Contribute to building,testing and improving models and AI solutions used in live decisioning systems
  • Work with data and pipelines hosted in AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists and engineers to deliver solutions from problem definition through to deployment
  • Support experimentation,validation and ongoing improvement of existing solutions
  • Gain exposure to business stakeholders with a focus on technical delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful data projects

The Superpowers you'll be bringing to the team:

  • Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics — or equivalent experience demonstrating strong analytical and technical capability
  • Approximately 2–5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar technical roles
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into insights
  • Experience using Python for data analysis,modelling or automation
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating with the team
