About the role

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Data and AI Privacy Analyst, you'll:

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of Individual Rights Requests (IRRs), including access and correction requests under APPs 12 and 13.
  • Ensure responses to IRRs are timely, accurate, and compliant with legal obligations and ART's privacy policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of IRRs and provide reporting to the Privacy Officer.
  • Identify and escalate complex or sensitive IRRs, including those involving potential complaints or regulatory risk.
  • Support continuous improvement of IRR processes, including automation opportunities and member experience enhancements.
  • Assist in privacy training and awareness initiatives, particularly around individual rights and member-facing processes.
  • Contribute to privacy impact assessments and operational privacy advice where IRRs intersect with new systems or data uses.
  • Collaborate with Data and AI Privacy Specialists to ensure alignment across privacy operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Experience in privacy, data protection, or regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), particularly APPs 12 and 13, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Experience managing data subject access requests or similar individual rights processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, risk, information security, or data governance (desirable).
  • Familiarity with fairness, explainability, and transparency metrics in AI systems, or exposure to frameworks such as ISO/IEC 23894, Responsible AI Principles, or AI impact assessments (desirable).
