Join us and help the world's leading organizations unlock the value of technology and build a more sustainable, more inclusive world.

Job Description

At Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we bring together a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects to help the world's most innovative companies unleash their potential. From autonomous cars to life-saving robots, our digital and software technology experts think outside the box as they provide unique R&D and engineering services across all industries. Join us for a career full of opportunities. Where you can make a difference. Where no two days are the same.

Your role:

As an AI & Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in building and scaling A & Automation I-powered engineering capabilities that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance decision-making across design, testing, and deployment workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering real, production-grade solutions—from AI assistants to end-to-end automation pipelines—that will be used daily by engineering teams transforming the way they design, test and deploy network solutions.

You will play a key role in:

  • Develop AI assistants to support engineering teams, including backlog management, development, test, knowledge retrieval, troubleshooting and insights generation
  • Implement "human-in-the-loop" models to ensure accuracy and trust and ensure security and responsible AI standards are followed.
  • Build solutions leveraging existing Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) & machine learning models for analysis and prediction.
  • Identify and automate repetitive or manual processes across design, test and deploy workflows

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years in software/network engineering, automation, or AI/ML roles.
  • Hands on experience building automation workflows, scripts, or pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG)
  • Experience building AI assistants and managing the lifecycle of the assistants
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Python, ArgoCD)
  • Exposure in one or both the below areas:
    • FTTx Access Network: GPON/XGSPON (OLT, ONT), Intent Based Networking
    • FTTx EMS Applications: Containerised (AAC), Virtualised (ACS, AMS)
