If you're after impact, there's no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale. Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:

Working as part of a team delivering advanced data science analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, data integration, anomaly detection, and actionable insights that improve how the Transport network is developed and managed, helping reduce congestion, enhance safety and strengthen customer outcomes. This role will see you apply advanced data science methods to large and complex datasets; lead statistical analysis and predictive modelling; design anomaly detection processes; develop and implement data science features and models; integrate new data sources; provide peer review and assurance of models; create data assets that support customer and stakeholder engagement; and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, with development opportunities across emerging data science technologies, cloud‑based analytical platforms, modern ML/AI techniques, and the convergence of big data with traditional transport modelling. You will lead new ways of delivering high‑quality insights and evidence‑based recommendations in a complex technical environment with legacy systems, diverse data sources, evolving analytical platforms, and competing stakeholder priorities across a matrixed organisation.

About you

You're recognized as an adept collaborator and communicator, skilled at explaining complex concepts, leading stakeholder engagement, and delivering compelling data storytelling, experienced in large‑scale data analysis, model development, cross‑validation, cloud‑based analytics, and coordinating across teams for planning, design and release delivery.
