DeliveryCentric is looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our innovative technology team in Sydney or Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, deploying, and managing AI systems, with expertise in agentic AI frameworks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models. This role is designed for professionals who can independently design AI solutions, deploy them to production, and integrate them with enterprise applications to deliver real business impact. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure AI systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals, while continuously exploring opportunities to implement emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement RAG and agent-based AI systems to solve complex business challenges.
• Utilize agentic development frameworks to build intelligent, autonomous agents capable of decision-making.
• Deploy AI models to production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and robust performance.
• Write high-quality, maintainable Python code to implement AI algorithms, data workflows, and automation pipelines.
• Leverage AWS Bedrock and other cloud-based ML services to manage model deployment, monitoring, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into enterprise applications.
• Conduct performance testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of AI models to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain thorough documentation of AI system architecture, algorithms, and deployment processes.
• Stay current with AI research, tools, frameworks, and industry best practices, and propose innovative approaches for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the AI and data science teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in RAG and agent-based AI development.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development frameworks.
• Strong Python programming skills, with experience implementing AI algorithms and data workflows.
• Experience deploying AI models to production environments and cloud platforms.
• Solid experience with AWS Bedrock and cloud ML services.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality AI solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
