Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a visionary Data & AI Specialist to lead the way in embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) across GHD’s Information Services landscape. This isn’t just a technical role - it’s a strategic opportunity to transform how we solve real-world problems, unlock new efficiencies and deliver measurable impact across our global operations.
In this dynamic role you will:
- Lead the design, build, and maintenance of AI/ML models, tools, and evaluation frameworks using Azure, Fabric, and Power BI.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to build robust data pipelines and translate insights into action.
- Productionise AI/ML models using MLOps best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure responsible and ethical AI use, with well-documented and up-to-date solution patterns.
- Maintain accurate status updates for current and future work in required tools.
- Design and improve foundational infrastructure and reusable patterns for scalable AI/ML development.
What you will bring to the team:
- Strong experience with Microsoft AI/ML tools and platforms including Azure, Fabric, AI Foundry, and Power BI.
- Proven ability to lead design and engineering efforts in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to mentor and coach developers across AI/ML disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills and an open, transparent approach.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML solution development or software engineering with AI/ML integration.
- Degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience in enterprise-grade software development using Microsoft technologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated experience in application analysis, design, development, and deployment using SQL (Spark SQL) and Python (PySpark).
