Position Overview:

As a Graduate Data Analyst, you will work closely with our experienced data professionals to analyse complex datasets, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across multiple clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment. It is also ideal experience for graduates who want to experience what data analytics has to offer in multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Interact with clients, gather requirements, and build client relationships
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Support the implementation of data-driven strategies and initiatives.
• Continuously improve data quality and integrity by identifying and addressing data discrepancies.
• Automate manual processes with cutting edge technologies
• Build and develop prototype analytics tools
• Work with and assist with development on our proprietary EdgePreso software.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or another field with a significant quantitative component.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to code – any coding language is fine.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for data.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Nice To Have

• Data analyst, developer, or consulting experience
• Proficiency in specific data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R)
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker, Google Looker Studio, Metabase).
• JavaScript skills.
• Machine learning and AI skills.
• Understanding of NLP techniques and libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, GPT, Hugging Face Transformers for developing and deploying language based applications.
