In the role of Head of AI Governance, you will join NAB's AI Centre of Excellence and play a pivotal role in embedding trusted AI practices across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AI governance frameworks, forums, and decision-making processes across the Group
• Own AI policies, standards, and controls, ensuring consistent and auditable application
• Deliver a single, trusted view of AI performance across value, risk, and adoption metrics
• Oversee governance reporting to ELT, Board, and regulatory stakeholders
• Coordinate regulatory engagement, audits, and external AI reporting obligations
• Drive risk-based governance approaches, including use case tiering and proportionate controls
• Partner across business, risk, and technology to embed consistent governance practices
• Continuously evolve governance frameworks in line with AI maturity and regulatory change

What You Bring

• Strong experience in governance, corporate operations, or enterprise reporting within complex environments
• Proven track record operating in regulated industries, ideally financial services
• Experience supporting large-scale technology or transformation programs (AI exposure beneficial)
• Deep understanding of risk, controls, compliance, and audit frameworks
• Ability to translate complex governance and risk concepts into clear executive insights
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and regulators
• Commercial acumen linking AI outcomes to value, risk appetite, and strategy
• Continuous improvement mindset in evolving governance frameworks
• Tertiary qualification in business, technology, or related field
