What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Quality Engineering Lead, to join the Technology, Chief Transformation Office. The purpose of the role is to specialize in AI-enabled testing solutions, encompassing intelligent test generation, defect prediction, and AI-assisted quality insights. To lead the adoption of AI within quality engineering practices, driving innovation and efficiency across testing processes.

Drive AI-powered testing and engineering acceleration within Westpac’s digital transformation initiative. Build custom utilities and frameworks that leverage machine learning and AI tools to enhance productivity and quality outcomes.

What do I need?

  • Proven expertise in both traditional quality engineering and AI/ML implementation.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and AI model development lifecycles.
  • Expert-level proficiency in AI-powered testing tools and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with Agent workflow and machine learning platforms.
  • Strong leadership and innovation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of secure-by-design principles and AI governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record of building custom AI utilities and integrating them into workflows.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with data science teams.
